Senator Schatz Urges TSA to Include Interisland Flights in PreCheck Program

United States Senator Brian Schatz has sent an official request to the Transportation Security Administration to include Hawaii's interisland flights in TSA's PreCheck program.  Under the PreCheck program, certain travelers and U.S. military personnel are allowed to enter special security lanes during screening which do not require the removal of shoes, belts, and jackets as well as laptops or small liquid containers from carry on bags.  Hawaiian Airline CEO Mark Dunkerley strongly supports the Senator, and added that offering PreCheck on interisland flights "would greatly improve the ability of our kamaaina customers to move more quickly and efficiently between different cities in our state.  It's a very important issue for our guests."
