According to TripAdvisor, Honolulu is the most expensive U.S. destination for the 2013, overtaking New York City, Boston and San Francisco from a year before. The rankings are calculated based upon the combined costs for a one-night stay at a four-star hotel, cocktails, a two course dinner with a bottle of wine and a round-trip taxi transportation of two miles away. Honolulu’s costs was $504.94, just beating out New York City at $504.25. Boston, the third most expensive destination, was $473.59.
