Japanese celebrity chef Hiroyuki Sakai has announced that he will be opening a new restaurant at the Duty Free Shop Galleria at Waikiki in July 2012. Sakai gained his fame thanks to the television show Iron Chef, where he was able to show off his French inspired dishes. The restaurant, to be named Sakai of Hawaii, will be able to seat about 150 diners at a time and employ a staff of 70. Iron Chef Sakai has stated the the cost per person will be about $10 for breakfast and $50 to $60 for dinner.
