Over the last few days, the North Shore of Oahu experienced huge waves, bringing in dozens of professional surfers and hundreds of spectators to the area. The National Weather Service issued a high surf warning and stated that the waves would reach 30 to 35 feet in height. Waves are expected to decrease over the next few days, but will still be between 12 to 15 feet in height with an occasional set of 18 to 20 feet. Members of the Honolulu Ocean Safety and Lifeguard Services Division warns that the high surf is extremely dangerous and only professionals should attempt to enter the water.
