United to Offer Daily Service from Washington Dulles International Airport

United Airlines has announced that it will be offering a nonstop daily service from Washington Dulles International Airport and Honolulu International Airport beginning on June 7, 2012.  According to the Hawaii Tourism Authority, this new route will generate $135 million in visitor spending in Hawaii and provide another $14 million in tax revenue per year for the state..  Mike McCartney, the Chief Executive Officer for the Hawaii Tourism Authority, stated, “Coupled with the recent establishment of Hawaiian Airlines’ new flight connecting Hono­lulu and New York City, the routes will help to provide much-needed access from the Hawaiian Islands to the East Coast.”
